LONDON: A leading Pakistani Shia organisation in Europe has condemned the terrorist attack on the shrine of Syeda Zainab (AS) - the granddaughter of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the daughter of Imam Ali (AS) and Hazrat Fatima Zahra (AS) - in Syria.
Majlis-e-Ulama Shia Europe, the representative organisation of Shia Muslims in UK and Europe, said that Hazrat Zainab (AS) played a central role to preserve Islam by fighting Yazidiyat after the battle of Karbala to carry forward the message of the Martyr of Karbala, Hazrat Imam Husain (AS).
Syed Ali Raza Rizvi said that those who have attacked the holy shrine are the ones who keep enmity towards “the holy family of our Prophet”. He said that the Western support for the terrorist groups will cost dearly to the West in the long run as the terrorist groups it is arming for gains in the Arab world will eventually turn their guns on the West. He said the aim of the Western support for Al-Qaeda-linked groups is attached with weakening the legitimate resistance in the Middle East.
“These are the people with the same Yazidi and Takfiri ideology who killed the Ahlebait (AS) in their lifetime and now the followers of same school of thought are destroying the shrines of Ahlebait (AS) and close companions of the Holy Prophet in present times with the support of enemies of Islam”.
