Two bodies found in separate areas
The bodies were found in Sohrab Goth and Quaidabad on Wednesday. According to the Sohrab Goth police, the body of 24-year-old Asad was found in Sohrab Goth’s Ayub Goth. Rescuers transported the body to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy. The police said the man was a resident of Surjani Town and a conductor by profession. The family of the deceased told the police that he had left home on Tuesday to see the public transport situation after the new lockdown notification, but never returned home. The police claimed to have found drugs in the victim’s pocket; however, the actual cause behind his death was yet to be ascertained.
Separately, an elderly man, 65-year-old Lal Khan, son of Hayat Khan, was killed in Quaidabad’s Gulshan-e-Bunair. The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy. Police said the deceased used to work as a watchman at a compound in the area where some unidentified people killed the man by hitting him over the head with a hammer over unexplained reasons.
