CM Usman Buzdar pays tributes to journalists
LAHORE: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar paid rich tributes to the journalists on the World Press Freedom Day.
Usman Buzdar complimented that he salutes those journalists who laid down their lives for the press freedom and media has played an unforgettable role in order to arise collective awareness. He underscored that promotion of democracy is linked with the freedom of media.
Those journalists who stand for truth, honesty and due rights become face of society, he added. He maintained that press freedom portrays collective awareness of society. The CM emphasised that responsible journalism should not be free from religious and societal limits. He assured that the Punjab government is undertaking all possible measures for the protection of journalists.
