Kyrgyz team calls on PU VC
LAHORE: A five-member delegation from Kyrgyzstan headed by Director Institute of Philosophy and Legal Research of National Academy of Science, Kyrgyzstan Dr Osmon Tongusakov called on Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Niaz Ahmad Akhtar here Monday.
The VC gave a brief introduction about Punjab University and expressed his resolve to enhance mutual cooperation between the two countries in different academic areas. He said the administration aimed at enhancing international connection of PU with world’s leading academic and research institutions.
PU Registrar Dr Muhammad Khalid Khan, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Muhammad Taqi Zahid Butt, Dean Faculty of Oriental Learning Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Dean of Commerce Prof Dr Prof Dr Mubasher Munawar Khan, Dean Faculty of Arts and Humanities Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Chawla, Director External Linkages Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen and others were present on the occasion.
The delegates thanked PU VC on providing friendly atmosphere to international students with good opportunities of higher learning. Later, souvenirs were presented to the delegation.
