The authorities concerned are hectically engaged in finding clue about the hands that have prepared fake documents including fabricated plan and blueprint of projects pertaining to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Such documents are being supplied to lawmakers at provincial echelon and in the centre as well.
Highly placed sources told The News that such documents have been made-up in the manner that it would be extremely difficult for a layman to differentiate it with the original one. It could be handiwork of the foreign moles that are busy in nefarious campaign to create hindrances in the way of the economic corridor. Such fabricated plans and maps have also been spread on the social media and investigations have revealed that the whole fabrication has been generated from social media cites based in India. Some Indian bloggers are openly criticising the project presumably working for the Indian agencies. It has been earlier reported that Indian secret-cum-terror agency RAW has setup a desk to scuttle the CPEC and huge amount has already been placed at the disposal of the desk.
In the meanwhile Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif sought detailed briefing about the economic corridor from the senior officials immediate after returning from Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday where the RAW activities were also under discussion in this regard. The prime minister will chair meeting of Parliamentary group leaders at the PM House today (Wednesday) where the grievances of political groups regarding the corridor would be addressed. All groups have been invited for the meeting, as their leaders would represent in the conference except two or three minor parties. It is likely that federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Senator Parvaiz Rashid, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Chaudhary Barjees Tahir, Abdul Qadir Baloch and Kamran Michael will also be present in the conference. Professor Ahsan Iqbal will be giving extensive briefing to the conference about the project and he will respond the queries on account of it.
The leader of single member party Awami Muslim League Shaikh Rashid Ahmad has been yet another time ignored for the meeting, as he hasn’t received invitation for the conference till late evening Tuesday. The prime minister will host working lunch in the honour of participants of the conference. It is understood that Prime Minister Nawaz would remove all misperception about the project before concluding the conference. Any joint statement at the end of the conference isn’t on the card, the sources added.
