Under-construction school blown up in Tirah valley

BARA: Unidentified people blew up an under-construction school in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency early Thursday, official sources said.
The sources said nine workers were asleep in a room in the under-construction government school in Akakhel area in Tirah valley when the explosion occurred. The structure, the sources said, collapsed due to the impact of the blast, burying the nine workers under the debris.
The locals rushed to the place and retrieved the injured from the debris and shifted them to the hospital where three of them were stated to be in a critical condition. Soon after the incident, the security forces and Khassadar force cordoned off the area and launched search operation but no arrest was made.
