Pharmaceutical unit of UoS to manufacture medicines
SARGODHA: The Pakistan Drug Regularity Authority has authenticated license to the pharmaceutical unit of the University of Sargodha for manufacturing medicines.
The UoS is the first varsity which has got the drug manufacturing license. Now the pharmaceutical unit of the UoS have been authorised for making drugs, including tablets, capsules, oral liquid suspension and dry suspension. It is hoped that drug manufacturing production would mitigate the medicines need of the Sargodha as well as the government hospitals of the Punjab province.
This pharmaceutical unit would produce high standard medicines on cheaper expenses owing to slash down the medicines rates in the market. This would also prove helpful to cut the cure expenditures. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical unit incharge Muhammad Iqbal said that the unit had the capacity to produce 800,000 packs per month.
