Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh on Wednesday directed all district and sessions judges to create WhatsApp groups to deal with the issue of non-appearance of witnesses during cases and to update relevant officials of their district.
According to the notification issued by the member inspection team-II, the sessions judges of all districts have been directed to create WhatsApp groups and add important stakeholders such as DIGs, SSPs, deputy commissioners, deputy public prosecutors, police surgeons and jail authorities of their districts to issue necessary information and direction.
The SHC CJ directed the sessions judges to submit progress reports within a month. It has been made clear that introduction of this online system will not disrupt the legal process.
