Bilawal a threat to Nisar: PPP
Nisar wants to hide his age: Chandio says Nawaz Sharif’s exit halted; PPP not a product of any party; Khursheed says governments exit after time pass
HYDERABAD: Sindh Information Adviser Maula Bakhsh Chandio said on Saturday that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had become a sign of threat to Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar. He said that Chaudhry Nisar called Bilawal a child but we didn’t react, then he shouldn’t have reacted when Bilawal called him ‘chacha’. He went on to say that Chaudhry Nisar was among those elders who hide their ages.
He said that Chaudhry Nisar had started becoming insecure before Bilawal’s arrival in Punjab. “The party has just begun.”
He said that the Panama Leaks case would not leave the government. He added that even though Nawaz Sharif had survived but he would either leave on court’s orders or public pressure.
Addressing a gathering in Hyderabad, Chandio said that Chaudhry Nisar didn’t like the people of Sindh and PPP. “A nuclear power’s interior minister is not bothered about the national welfare,” he added. “By ignoring the national welfare, the interior minister only knows how to comment on Bilawal and call him a child.”
He said that the interior minister should not forget that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had also begun their political careers when they were really young.
Chandio also gave a message that Chaudhry Nisar would be sent home due to Panama, which wouldn’t leave him at all. He added that they wouldn’t be able to run too far and they would be held accountable. He said that a mosquito had revealed all the claims of the PML-N government.
He further said that the newly-elected Sindh Governor Saeeduzzaman Siddiqui was a highly respected personality. However, he said that the government had played a joke by making an extremely elderly person the governor.
He further said that Chaudhry Nisar wanted to become the PM but his dream never materialised. “Now he is worried about the decreasing pressure by Imran Khan,” he said. “The announcement of the new army chief has not been made yet by the prime minister, which speaks a lot of the incompetence of our government.”
He also said that in several cases where the prime minister should be present, the army chief shows up.
Our correspondent adds from Sukkur: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah has said that the PPP had been bestowed by natural leadership quality. “We are not a product of any part, but we are a product of public hopes and desires,” he said. “The PPP has a history and was not created by any dictator or ‘Asha or Pasha’.”
He said that some parties came through Ziaul Haque, some came through Musharraf and some came through ‘Asha or Pasha’. He claimed that the leaders were not aware of their responsibilities. He said the governments finished their tenures after a time and do not do any welfare work for their people.
While addressing a conference at the Sukkur Institute of Business Administration, he said had the PPP done power politics, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto wouldn’t have been hanged.
Khursheed Shah said that youth was 50-55 per cent of the total population of this country. “Are we making the right use of them?” he questioned. “The youth must not be exploited for political purposes. Even Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was offered to become the prime minister and sit abroad but she returned to her people. However, people are hiding in Dubai these days.”
