Trump’s father was German and mother Scottish
LAHORE: While Donald Trump’s father and noted land developer Fred Trump (1905–1999) was born in New York to parents belonging to Kallstadt city of Germany, his mother Mary (1912–2000) came from a Scottish family.
All four of his grandparents were born in Europe. Trump was the second youngest child of five children. Of his four siblings, three (Maryanne, Elizabeth and Robert) are living, his older brother Fred Jr had died in 1981 from alcoholism, which Trump says led him to avoid trying alcohol or cigarettes.
Trump was not drafted during the Vietnam War due to heel spurs in his feet. (References: Fox News, the New York Times, Gwenda Blair’s book “The man who made Trump who he is,” the New Yorker, the Boston Globe, CNN, the Washington Post and CBS News)
