PESHAWAR: The officials of the Tourist Services Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa warned the owners of the hotels and restaurants in the capital city and Dera Ismail Khan district to ensure the registration of their businesses at the earliest.
A press release on Tuesday stated that a team comprising Humayun Afridi, Idrees Khan, Mehboob, Jamil, Faheem, Javed Iqbal Marwat and Jawad Buneri headed by the Controller Muhammad Arabi conducted surprise visits to the Amin Hotel, Palace Hotel , Paradise Hotel, Emirate Hotel, Star Hotel, Pak Qatar Hotel, Shelton Green, Sharja Hotel, Shangrilla, Daewoo Hotel, Zabeel Palace, Hujra Hotel, Swat Hotel, Lahore Hotel, Taj Mehal Hotel and Khan Hotel in the provincial capital.
It added that a three-member team comprising Faheem, Humayun Afridi and Javed Iqbal Marwat also paid surprise visits to the Hilton Hotel, Foodway, Golden Hotel, Rose Hotel, Usmania Hotel and Green Hotel in Dera Ismail Khan district where they checked the registration and licences.
The officials warned that strict action would be taken against the proprietors of the hotels if they failed to ensure legalisation of their businesses.
