Anser for removal of hurdles in development of new sectors

Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz has directed the concerned officials to take consolidated steps to remove hurdles in the development of Sector E-12, C-15 and Park Enclave.
Chairing a meeting at CDA Headquarters, the CDA chairman said in order to cater growing housing needs of the city not only development in stalled sectors would be started but new sectors would also be opened.
The meeting was attended by Member Engineering and other senior officers of relevant formations. During the meeting, issues, which are obstructing development activities in sector C-15, E-12 and Park Enclave were discussed and possible solutions and suggestions in this context were discussed at length.
He directed the Finance Wing to release funds for the provision of Gas and Electricity facility in Park Enclave, Phase-I. He directed to resolve all issues amicably with mutual consultation.
Sheikh Anser said that problems of genuine affectees of Islamabad would be resolved on priority basis so that they could be able to play due role in making Islamabad a model city in accordance with the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Sheikh Anser Aziz said that the development of sectors, which were opened years ago, is among top priorities and in this context procedures related to payment of compensations and policy regarding allotment of plots in lieu of built up properties, is being improved to ensure transparency.
He said that soon after assuming the responsibilities of Chairman CDA, record of Land and Estate was sealed to find out irregularities in this regard while strict action would also be taken against the officials and officers involved in these irregularities.
He was apprised that development work on Park Enclave, Phase I has almost been completed and possession is being handed over to the allottees of the sector. The CDA officials said that after completion of construction of bridge, possession of plots will be handed over to the remaining allottees of Park Enclave, Phase-I while funds have been demanded from the Finance Wing for provision of gas and electricity.
He was further apprised that allotment of Park Enclave, Phase-II has been completed and commercial plots have been also demarcated. Similarly concrete work of the roads of Sector E-12 has been awarded while fence has been erected around the Sector C-15, however, due to issues of affectees, development work in the sector C-15 is stalled.
