NA, Senate sessions summoned on 26th
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has summoned National Assembly and Senate sessions on September 26 (Monday). The president has summoned the National Assembly and Senate sessions in exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, said a press release issued by the National Assembly Secretariat.
Mass wedding ceremony held in Parachinar

PARACHINAR: Around 31 couples tied the knot at a mass wedding ceremony arranged here on Wednesday. Hussaini Foundation had arranged the wedding for the couples who could not afford to get married. The foundation which is arranging marriages for couples for the last few years would provide furniture and other necessaries items for the newlywed couples. Talking to reporters bridegrooms Syed Muntazir, Adnan and Jamshed said that they were engaged for a couple of years but their families lacked the resources to make arrangements for their marriages.
Terrorist arrested from Charsadda
CHARSADDA: The Anti-Terror Force on Wednesday arrested a hardcore terrorist during a raid in Charsadda. The ATF sources said personnel of Counter Terrorism Department carried out anti-terror raid on inputs received from secret agencies about the presence of terrorist in the area. The arrested terrorist whose name could not be ascertained was involved in attacks on police and has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
One dead, two missing in Mingora accident

MINGORA: A child was killed and two other persons went missing when a truck plunged into Swat River in Bahrain tehsil, police sources said on Wednesday. The sources said that driver of the truck lost control over the steering which fell into Swat River in Bahrain tehsil, leaving a child Shabnam dead. Two other persons identified as Muhammad Hussain and Fazlur Rehman went missing while six others were rescued in injured condition. The injured were identified as Sajjad, Abid Ali, Umar Hayat, Naeemullah, and Muhammad Ali.
NANKANA SAHIB: More than 200 lady health workers (LHWs) staged a demonstration in favour of their demands outside the DCO Office here on Wednesday. The LHWs said that their department took extra duty and work from them without any compensation. During the demonstration, three LHWs Sabira, Safia and Shazia fell unconscious. They were shifted to the DHQ Hospital. Meanwhile, DCO Saira Umar reached the spot and held talks with the protesters.
JAMRUD: Khassadar personnel seized a cache of hashish and arrested two traffickers in Jamrud on Wednesday, official sources said. The personnel recovered 25kg hashish at Bigyari checkpost on Wednesday during search of a vehicle travelling from Ali Masjid area to Jamrud.
