FMC holds workshop on teaching standards

As an effort to create awareness among faculty members and to keep them synchronized with latest and innovative ways of teaching and learning; Medical Education Department of Fazaia Medical College (FMC), Air University arranged a workshop here at main campus here, says a press release.

One-day workshop was facilitated by Brigadier (r) Muhammad Luqman, Professor and Director Department of Medical Education at a private medical college. Faculty members of FMC attended the workshop. Brigadier (r) Luqman emphasised on Problem Based Learning (PBL) method of teaching, where students learn about the subject through experience of solving open-ended problems.

This method helps the student to learn both thinking strategies and domain knowledge. The workshop was comprised on multiple interactive sessions between facilitator and faculty members. In the end; Principal FMC Major General (r) Salman Al, HI(M) in his closing remarks emphasized on value of investing in faculty development and also thanked to workshop facilitator for his efforts to conduct the PBL workshop at Fazaia Medical College, Air University.
