Return process of Orakzai IDPs begins
KALAYA: The return process of the remaining displaced persons from lower parts of Orakzai Agency started here Thursday.
A total of 175 families had been sent back to Ferozkhel, Utmankhel and Storikhel areas in lower parts of Orakzai Agency on the first day of the return process.Assistant Political Agent Azizullah Jan was present on the occasion and saw off the returning families.
The retuning families were first gathered at the Chaman Jana area in Orakzai and then sent back to native areas. The political administration was providing food and made other necessary arrangements for the retuning families there.
The IDPs were returning to native areas after 10 years. They said that their houses and other structures had been destroyed due to the militancy and military operation. They demanded the government to extend them financial help to rebuild their houses.
