Industrialisation of Fata
Fata is the most underdeveloped part of the country. The region neither has a university nor have a banking system. The tribal areas are a major centre for narcotics trafficking. It was also the hub of militancy but the Pakistan Army has successfully carried out military operations against them. There is a dire need to develop and improve infrastructure in these areas and provide all kinds of modern facilities to the people there.
The government must come up with a plan for Fata’s inclusion. The process of industrialisation through a policy of public/private partnership would not only provide employment opportunities and economic benefits but also assist in bringing the youth of the tribal area on a par with those of the developed cities of the country.
