Uswa College holds function

The Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated at Uswa College, Islamabad, says a press release.
In this connection a solemn ceremony was held at the College Auditorium on Saturday. Some students sang inspiring national songs individually as well as in chorus form. Prof. Ali Irfan of Urdu Department highlighted the sacrifices offered to attain independence. Principal Brig (R) Ghulam Ali also shed light on the struggle of the people and leaders of the Pakistan Movement.
In his address he stressed upon the students to direct all their energies to take Pakistan to the peak of glory and progress. At the end of the ceremony new prefects were also sworn in to their respective posts.
