LAHORE:A proclaimed offender involved in serious crimes was killed during an alleged police encounter in the Kahna area when his accomplices opened fire on a police party.
Reportedly, CCD Kahna had arrested dangerous proclaimed offender Asif a few days ago on charges, including murder, interfering with government work, and other serious offenses. The suspect was in physical remand with CCD Kahna. The incident occurred when Asif was being taken to Haloki area in Kahna for a recovery operation. During the process, his accomplices opened fire on police team in an attempt to free their detained associate. In the ensuing crossfire, Asif was struck by bullets fired by his own accomplices and died on the spot. The attackers managed to escape from the scene after the shooting, leaving their associate behind.
Suspect arrested for assaulting female waiter
Sue-e-Asal Police Post has arrested a suspect involved in brutally assaulting a female waiter at a wedding hall in the area. According to a police spokesperson, the incident occurred at a wedding hall located at Sue-e-Asal Stop, where the victim was working as a waiter. The suspect initially engaged in harsh verbal exchange with the woman, which she tried to discourage. The situation escalated when the affected woman went to the hall manager's office to file a complaint against the suspect, Allah Wasaya. However, the accused was already present in the office when she arrived to report the incident. Upon seeing the woman, the suspect flew into a rage and physically assaulted her. He grabbed her by the hair, dragged her, and repeatedly slapped her face, causing significant distress and injury to the victim. Police arrested the suspect and registered a case against him.
