Man dies as speeding truck hits car, bike

LAHORE:A traffic accident claimed one life and left three others, including a woman, critically injured on Thokar Flyover in the Thokar Niaz Baig area.

According to Rescue 1122, the incident involved a container truck, a car, and a motorcycle. The accident occurred when the container truck reportedly lost control and violently collided with a car and a motorbike. Rescue officials confirmed that one man died on the spot, while three other individuals were seriously injured. Eyewitnesses stated that the truck was speeding when it veered off course, leading to the devastating collision. However, the exact cause of the accident is still under investigation by the police. Rescue teams administered first aid at the site before shifting the injured to hospital. Body of the victim was handed over to the local police.

Senior citizen found murdered in house

A 76-year-old man was murdered by unidentified assailants in Kahna police area on Friday. The assailants broke into the victim's house in Kankar village, Kahna, slit his throat with a sharp weapon before fleeing the scene. The attackers reportedly entered the house and used a knife to kill the victim Mukhtar in cold blood.

Upon receiving information about the murder, police arrived at the scene accompanied by a forensic team. Evidence was collected from the crime scene, and the body was transported to hospital via an Edhi ambulance. Police officials stated that the motive behind the murder and the identity of the suspects remain unknown. A thorough investigation has been launched, and efforts are under way to trace and apprehend the culprits.
