Cardiology hospitals capacity being increased: Salman
LAHORE:Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that according to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the capacity of all cardiology hospitals is being increased. Steps are being taken to improve HR and other administrative matters in all cardiology hospitals. We are striving to provide better treatment and care facilities to patients in cardiology hospitals.
He expressed these views while addressing a meeting at the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company regarding the Wazirabad Institute of Cardiology on Wednesday. Advisor to the Punjab Health Maj-Gen (retd) Dr. Azhar Mahmood Kiani, Secretary Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department Azmat Mahmood Khan and Special Secretary Operations Tariq Mahmood Rahmani attended the meeting through video link.
Chairman Punjab Chief Minister Advisory Committee for Cardiology Dr. Farqad Alamgir, Executive Director Wazirabad Institute of Cardiology Prof Abdul Sattar and MS Dr. Asif Shahzad attended the meeting. The meeting reviewed the steps to increase the capacity of Wazirabad Institute of Cardiology. Executive Director Prof Abdul Sattar gave a briefing in this regard.
Minister visits PIC
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique visited Punjab Institute of Cardiology. He visited 45-year-old Farzana Bibi, who was injured in Indian shelling in Tehsil Barnala. Farzana Bibi was shifted to PIC after initial treatment from Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Hospital, Gujrat.
Khawaja Salman Rafique also thanked CEO Punjab Institute of Cardiology Prof Bilal Mohiuddin and his team for providing the best treatment facilities to Farzana Bibi and said on this occasion that the doctors’ community stands by the Pakistani government and the Pakistani armed forces for the integrity of the country. Chairman Board of Management PIC Prof Farqad Alamgir, Executive Director Prof Bilal Mohiuddin, MS Dr Aamir Rafique Butt and other faculty were present on the occasion.
Inaugurates filtration plant at PIC
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique inaugurated a new water filtration plant at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology. Chairman Board of Management PIC Dr Farqad Alamgir, Executive Director Prof Bilal Mohi ud din, MS Dr. Aamir Rafique Butt and donors were present on the occasion.
Khawaja Salman Rafique also inspected the RO plant. A free water filtration plant has been installed by philanthropists at a cost of Rs 3 million. On this occasion, Khawaja Salman Rafique said that we are striving for the convenience of patients. The initiative of a new water filtration plant for the relatives of patients in waiting areas is very good.
