Alumni reunion marks PMS’ 46 years of establishment
PESHAWAR: To commemorate the 46 years of the establishment of Peshawar Model School, a grand alumni reunion ceremony was organized at the Boys-II, Warsak Road branch of the institution, which was attended by former students.
The participants included senior officers serving in various departments, doctors, engineers and others who studied in the institution during the sessions 1979-2020. Directors of the institution, including Muhammad Zahoor Sethi, Muhammad Ghayur Sethi, Muhammad Tariq Sethi and Muhammad Hammad Sethi, served as chief guests and guests of honour on the occasion, while Muhammad Asad Sethi and Beenish Sethi performed as the hosts.
The school’s principal, Faiza Umair, welcomed the alumni attending the event. The ceremony was aimed at ensuring the reunion of the former students during the said sessions who have started their successful professional lives and are associated with various government, semi-government institutions, besides their own business.
These students were invited to visit their alma mater to recall their happy moments and to make the reunion of contemporaries and alumni a memorable one. The participants got the opportunity to meet one another enthusiastically.
They also visited their respective classrooms and took lectures from their respective former teachers, remembering the beautiful moments of the past. The alumni expressed words of appreciation for their teachers, due to whose hard work and dedication they are at this position today. They said that even today, they considered the guidance of their teachers a beacon for them.
The former students said they cannot forget the time spent in the school throughout the life. It should be noted that here that the workforce produced by Peshawar Model Schools is playing a positive role not only socially and economically at the national level but also at the international level.
The former students participating in the ceremony paid tribute to the school management for providing them the opportunity to meet their former classmates.Former principals and teachers also addressed the participants of the ceremony online. A cake was also cut in the ceremony to mark the occasion. Gifts were also presented to the alumni, and a dinner was served at the end of the ceremony.
