Workers demand raise in salaries, pensions
LAHORE:Workers from across the country convened a national conference at Bakhtiar Labour Hall under the auspices of the All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union (CBA) and the All Pakistan Federation of Trade Unions to press for a 30 percent increase in salaries and pensions of employees in the government, semi-government, private sector, industry, commerce, banking, and media in the upcoming federal budget 2025-2026.
The moot called for the provision of safe and healthy working conditions, particularly for electricity sector workers.
