Alumni return to school for memorable reunion
PESHAWAR: Peshawar Model School Boys-III, Ring Road, organized an Alumni Reunion Ceremony here where former students from the sessions of 2002 to 2020 were brought together to share their memories and have an opportunity to reconnect with their teachers, institution and classfellows.
The School’s Director, Muhammad Asad Sethi and Directress Benish Sethi served as chief guests.The principal of the school, Saima Talat, welcomed the former students and thanked them for their participation in the reunion.
She highlighted the institution’s journey and acknowledged the contributions of former principals and alumni throughout the years.The principal underlined the significance of such reunions in fostering lifelong connections and preserving the spirit of the institution.
“The primary aim of the reunion was to bring together former students who have since embarked on successful professional careers across government, semi-government sectors, and private enterprises”, the principal said.The event also offered them a chance to revisit their classrooms, meet their mentors and recall their cherished memories of their student life.
The alumni were visibly emotional and excited as they toured the school premises, revisited their classrooms and engaged in conversations about their time at the school.Many also attended special sessions with their former teachers and paid them heartfelt tributes. “We owe our success to our teachers whose dedication and guidance continue to light our path,” said one of the participants.
The students recalled their deep-rooted connection to the school and said that the love for one’s alma mater is a bond that remains unbroken over time.“The alumni of Peshawar Model School have gone on to excel not just nationally but internationally, with former students serving as doctors, engineers, civil servants, lawyers, entrepreneurs and professionals in diverse fields”, said Yunis Sethi, an officer at the school administration.A celebratory cake was cut to mark the occasion. The school administration distributed souvenirs among the former students.The event concluded with a grand dinner.
