Twenty-one Pakistani nationals, victims of human trafficking trapped in scam compounds of Myanmar, are set to return home today (Thursday). These individuals were held under harsh conditions and forced into labour in fraudulent businesses.
Their safe repatriation has been made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Government of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Government and the Government of Myanmar. The Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok played a pivotal role in this process.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to Thailand, Rukhsana Afzaal, personally bid farewell to the rescued Pakistanis in Bangkok, assuring them of full government support and wishing them a safe journey home.
