LAHORE:National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), has launched an initiative to promote domestic industry and the use of domestically manufactured equipment.
In this regard, NTDC Chief Engineer (Material Procurement and Management) has issued educational orders worth about Rs781 million to local companies under which monitoring devices for towers, high-precision energy meters, high-power transformers and conductors will be purchased. Under this initiative, a five-member special committee of NTDC led by General Manager (Design and Engineering) Engr Dr Khawaja Rifaat Hassan visited a private company. The committee reviewed the quality of equipment and materials manufactured by the company.
