Woman injured in cylinder explosion
LAHORE:A woman was injured after a gas cylinder exploded inside a house in Nishar Colony’s Last Stop area on Thursday. Following the explosion, Rescue 1122 emergency teams rushed to the scene and began firefighting operations to control the blaze.
According to Rescue 1122, the injured woman was provided first aid on the spot before being shifted to Jinnah Hospital for further medical treatment. Authorities are investigating the cause of the explosion, while rescue officials have urged citizens to follow safety precautions when handling gas cylinders to prevent such incidents.
Firing at cable internet office
The unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants opened fire at a cable internet office in Harbanspura, creating panic in the area. Following the incident, Harbanspura police responded and reached the crime scene.
According to officials, law enforcement agencies have initiated an investigation, utilising CCTV footage and other resources to trace the suspects in the surrounding areas. A case has been registered against the unidentified attackers on the complaint of the affected citizen, Waqas Saleem.
SP Cantt Owais Shafiq has directed SDPO Baghbanpura to immediately trace and apprehend the culprits. Police have launched a search operation, and further developments are expected as the investigation progresses.
Fraudster gang busted
Wahdat Colony Police have arrested a fraudster gang involved in theft. The suspect, Aaron Wilson, used to wear a Dolphin Squad uniform and commit crimes alongside his accomplice, Ali Shahbaz.
The police recovered seven branded mobile phones, thousands of rupees in cash, a pistol with bullets, and took custody of the vehicle used in their crimes. The suspects had prior criminal records and were wanted in multiple cases.
Kidnapped girl traced
Misri Shah and Shadbagh Police traced an eight-year-old kidnapped girl. The girl had gone out to buy groceries but did not return. After searching for her, her parents sought help from Misri Shah Police, who immediately registered a case and launched an investigation.
The police used advanced technology, human resources, the “Mera Apna” App, and surveillance cameras to track the child. After six hours of continuous efforts, the police safely located and reunited her with her family, who expressed gratitude to the police team.
Two fugitives arrested
Dolphin Squad arrested two fugitives, Abdul Rehman and Ramzan, wanted in kidnapping cases by Karachi and Lahore police.
The suspects were apprehended from Iqbal Town and Shahdara under suspicious circumstances. They were wanted in case number 235/24 (Central Sindh, Sir Syed Police Station) and case number 3,200/24 (Manga Mandi, Lahore) involving the kidnapping of women. Lahore Police remain committed to ensuring the safety of citizens and continue their relentless efforts against criminals.
