KARACHI: Pakistan has initiated its digital presence for the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, with a launch event in Lahore on Friday, aiming to present the nation’s cultural and innovative strengths through its chosen theme, ‘Universe in a Grain of Salt’.
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has officially launched the Pakistan Pavilion’s website and social media platforms. These digital tools are designed to provide a virtual entry point, enabling a global audience to explore Pakistan’s offerings in advance of the expo, scheduled to take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025.
The core message being conveyed is that Pakistan will be highlighting its pink rock salt as a central symbol, emphasising the nation’s rich heritage and forward-looking potential. Furthermore, the digital platforms will provide regular updates about exhibitions, events and trade opportunities at the Pavilion throughout Expo 2025. This will be achieved by the official website which provides content in both English and Japanese, and through the activation of social media channels for real-time engagement.
The World Expo 2025 Osaka, operating under the theme ‘Designing Future Society for Our Lives’, is anticipated to attract participants from over 160 countries and various international organisations, all contributing to the global dialogue on innovation and collaboration.
