SHO told to record statement of DHA shootout suspect’s father
An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has directed the station house officer of the Gizri police station to record the statement of a DHA shootout suspect's father, who accused the police of taking away valuables during a raid on his bungalow, and to lodge an FIR if an offence is made out.
Armagaan was arrested last week after he allegedly shot and wounded two police officers who attempted to arrest him in connection with the kidnapping of his friend Mustafa Amir for ransom.
The suspect's father moved an application before the administrative judge of the ATCs, accusing the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) police of taking away valuables during the raid on his bungalow. The judge directed the police to record the statement of the applicant and lodge an FIR if an offence is made out and submit a compliance report.
