QUETTA:The security forces have repulsed an armed attack of militants in Kalat area and killed two alleged terrorists in a gun battle late on Friday night.
Officials said that armed militants launched an armed attack in Kalat area and tried to enter some areas but the security forces immediately retaliated and returned fire. Heavy firing continued from both sides, resulting in the killing of two terrorists.
“The terrorists wanted to target an important installation but the security forces foiled their plan with their immediate reaction and retaliation,” security officials said, adding that terrorists escaped.
Meanwhile, Quetta-Karachi highway was blocked after armed men searched some vehicles and also opened fire on some passenger coaches in Mangochar area.
