Transgender injured in firing incident
MARDAN: A transgender was injured in a firing incident at Mir Afzal Khan bazaar in the limits of Hoti Police Station, police sources said on Saturday.
The sources said that a transgender, Emad alias Janat, a resident of Rawalpindi, currently living at Mir Afzal Khan Bazaar, told police that she was present in the upper room (Bala Khana) of Ahmed at Mir Afzal Khan bazaar. He told police that one Usman, a resident of Kot Dowlatzai Garhi Kapoora, entered the Bala Khana and allegedly opened fire on him after an exchange of arguments. As a result, she said, she sustained bullet injuries.
The injured eunuch was taken to Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) for treatment. Police registered a case against the accused under section 324 and started investigations.
