The inaugural session will be attended by Farah Naz Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary, Hassan Nasir Jami, Federal Secretary, and Dr. Tariq Habib Cheema, an international expert in social services.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Abid Sial. Participants of the residential programme, arriving from across the country, will introduce their academic and literary backgrounds during the session. During the 10-day residential programme, participants from across the country will visit various institutions, meet members of literary organisations, engage in dialogues with young and senior writers, participate in several literary events, and explore tourist sites.
The PAL said the objectives of the programme included enhancing the literary skills of young writers, integrating peripheral writers into the mainstream, promoting inter-provincial, intercultural, and inter-lingual harmony, fostering mutual understanding and respect, and incorporating new voices into the literary environment of the federal capital.
