LAHORE:UVAS Qirat and Naat Society on Friday arranged a seminar to pay rich tribute to the services and contributions of Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (RA) at City Campus.

According to a press release, UVAS Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Younus presided over the seminar while Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science Prof Dr Aneela Zameer Durrani, students and faculty members were present. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Dr Muhammad Younus highlighted the role of Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique (RA) as always a very close companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who was willing to sacrifice his life for the sake of protecting and comforting the Prophet (PBUH). He mentioned Hazrat Abu Bakar had a major role in freeing some of the Muslim slaves, who were barbarically tortured by their heartless masters to give up the faith and return to their masters’ beliefs. His great personality and service to Islam and Muslims earned him the love and respect of all Muslims, so that he was chosen as the first caliph after the death of the Prophet by all Muslims, he added.

Meanwhile, the UVAS and its all campuses on Friday arranged condolence reference in memory of former Dean Faculty of Veterinary Science/ex-Chairman Department of Pathology Prof Dr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhary passed away on December 18, 2024.
