Requisition sent to PPSC for hiring 1,092 consultants
LAHORE:The Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education (SHME) has sent a requisition to the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) for the recruitment of 1,092 new consultants in 45 different specialties.
According to the details, the requisitions have been sent for 200 dental surgeons, 96 senior registrars of anesthesia, 95 senior registrars of cardiology, 92 senior registrars of surgery, 60 senior registrars of obstetrics and gynecology, 53 senior registrars of medicine, 46 senior registrars of cardiac surgery, 44 senior registrars of orthopedic surgery, 38 Senior Registrars of Pediatric Surgery, 33 Senior Registrars of Pediatric Medicine, 32 Senior Registrars of Neurosurgery, 35 Senior Registrars of Radiology, 22 Assistant Professors of Physiology, 20 Assistant Professors of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 20 Assistant Professors of Biochemistry, 15 Senior Registrars of Pediatric Hematology, 11 Assistant Professors of Pharmacology, 19 Senior Registrars of ENT, 16 Senior Registrars of Plastic Surgery, 10 Senior Registrars of Neurology, 11 Senior Registrars of Cardiac Anesthesia, 18 Senior Registrars of Psychiatry, 17 Senior Registrars of Ophthalmology, 17 Senior Registrars of Nephrology, 15 Associate Professors of Anesthesia, nine Senior Registrars of Pulmonology, seven Senior Registrars of Pediatric Radiology, six Senior Registrars of Pediatric Neurology, six Senior Registrars of Pediatric Ophthalmology, four Senior Registrars of Radiotherapy, four Senior Registrars of Pediatric Urology, three Senior Registrars of Pediatric Anesthesia and two Senior Registrars of Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia Care, four Senior Registrars of Kidney Transplant, two Senior Registrars of Pediatric ENT, one Senior Registrar of Pediatric Pulmonology, one Senior Registrar of Pediatric Orthopedic, one Associate Professor of Pediatric Urology, Associate Professor of Pediatric Plastic Surgery, one Associate Professor of Critical Care, one Associate Professor of Infectious, one Professor of Chemical Pathology, one Associate Professor of Pediatric Anesthesia and one Senior Registrar of Pulmonology.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that it is a welcome sign that the Department of Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education has sent requisitions to the Punjab Public Service Commission for the recruitment of 1,092 new consultants. Recently, the recruitment process of 3,000 nurses has been completed through the Punjab Public Service Commission.
