Samsung teases Galaxy Z Fold 8's redesign in deleted posts
Samsung wiped its Instagram feed to tease the Galaxy Z Fold 8's wider redesign, with leaks pointing to a July 22 Unpacked launch
Samsung deleted nearly its entire Instagram account this week, leaving just six posts behind, all spelling out a new tagline, "New Shape, New Joy", ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold 8's expected debut.
Without prior knowledge of the redesign, the posts read as pure abstraction: a "sweet new shape", something that "cuts to what matters", a phrase promising it "feels just right".
Strip away the wordplay, and each clip shows the same visual, the top sliced off the Galaxy Z Fold 7's silhouette, leaving a shorter, wider outline in its place.
There is only one post that goes into further details about the combination of a purple, pink, and gold colour palette with wallpaper containing an "8".
The dates coincide with the leaked renders from the same day, which feature a reimagined "Fold 8" alongside a "Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra", which could come in the old-fashioned form factor rather than the new one.
The colour palette hinted at by Samsung in its one post corresponds to colours that were previously leaked in colour leaks for the phone.
A date has not been announced by Samsung yet. However, according to previous reports, July 22 has been highlighted before, and the Samsung Members discount code from GSMArena, which will be active on the same day, seems to indicate the same indirectly.
