LAHORE:Punjab Governor /Chancellor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan presented cheques worth Rs200,000 each to two students of the King Edward Medical University (KEMU) on Thursday. Saba Sattar was declared the best all-round graduate and Fatima Rajab the most distinguished graduate of the KEMU.
Addressing a ceremony at the Governor's House Lahore, the governor lauded the performance of the students. He said the purpose of acquiring knowledge should be to serve the suffering humanity and the people associated with medical field are the great souls.
He urged the students to become good doctors as well as good human beings because good character is the guarantee of success in this world and the hereafter. The educational performance of Saba and Fatima were also appreciated during a recent convocation of the King Edward Medical University.
