Health minister vows to making efforts for country’s prosperity
LAHORE:The 77th Independence Day of Pakistan was celebrated at Fatima Jinnah Medical University, Lahore.
Punjab Minister for Health, Khawaja Imran Nazir, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, along with FJMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, paid tribute to the national heroes by hoisting the national flag in the background of the national anthem and vowed that we would take this homeland to the heights of progress and development like this flag.
Khawaja Imran Nazir, along with Prof Khalid Masood Gondal, also planted a sapling. The minister said, ‘We should think about what we have given to our country and what we can give. Today, we start a new journey with new thinking and hope that Pakistan will definitely flourish.’
Meanwhile, Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, in his message on the occasion of Independence Day, has congratulated the countrymen and said that freedom is a great blessing of Allah Almighty. We got a great country like Pakistan after endless and immense sacrifices. Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with every blessing.

Shaikh Zayed Hospital Lahore hosted a flag-hoisting ceremony. The event took place on the hospital’s premises, bringing together staff, patients, and community members in a unified display of national pride. The ceremony was graced by Dr Akbar Hussain, Chairman Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex Lahore, who, alongside Dr Syed Ashtar Ali Zaidi Deputy Administrator Medical, Mrs Talat Aslam Chief Nursing Superintendent, administrative officers, doctors, nurses, other staff members and general public hoisted the national flag as a symbol of unity and strength. The event was followed by the national anthem.
PKLI celebrates I-Day
Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Centre (PKLI&RC) celebrated the 77th Independence Day with immense fervor and zeal. The event saw enthusiastic participation from PKLI employees, who came together to mark this significant day. Dr Faisal Amir, Hospital Director at PKLI, led the celebrations by hoisting the flag and cutting the cake, joined by consultants and other staff members.

Lahore General Hospital organised a special function on the occasion of Independence Day. Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Dr Al-Fareed Zafar hoisted the flag. Professors, MS Dr Faryad Hussain, doctors and health professionals were also present on this occasion. After cutting the cake, doctors, nursing officers and paramedics congratulated each other. He distributed shields among doctors, nursing officers, paramedics and medical students for best performance.
