ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Wednesday set aside the chief commissioner’s decision to withdraw the permission to PTI for holding a jalsa in the federal capital.
The court declared that the application of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would be considered as pending with the district administration and instructed the ICT administration to decide the request with cogent reasons.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq issued a five-page written order on the petition. The court said as per the order of chief commissioner’s office, the NoC for the PTI jalsa was withdrawn due to Muharram and added the office did not intimate any representative of PTI before cancelling the permission.
