Two die, 12 injured in Mansehra road mishap
MANSEHRA: Two persons were killed and 12 others sustained injuries when a car collided with a passenger van on Hazara Expressway here on Friday.
“Two Afghan nationals were killed and 12 persons were injured in the incident. The injured have been shifted to a nearby health facility,” Amir Khadim, an official of Rescue 1122, told reporters.
The car, carrying an Afghan family, was on its way to Dhodial from College Doraha when it collided with a van, leaving 14 people seriously injured.The Rescue 1122 ambulances shifted the injured to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital where doctors pronounced two Afghan nationals, Zorwalli Khan and Ali Khan, dead.
Five of the injured were referred to Ayub Medical Complex Hospital Abbottabad due to their serious conditions.The bodies were handed over to families following completion after the completion of the medico-legal formalities there.The police after lodging the FIR started an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
