Minister seeks details of varsities’ teaching, non-teaching staff ratio
Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ali Malkani has desired to have the details of teaching and non-teaching employees’ ratio in government universities and institutes across Sindh within seven days.
Now, Secretary of Boards and Universities Department Abbas Baloch has written a letter to the heads of universities and institutes and sought details within seven days.
It should be noted that in all government universities and institutes in the province, teachers have been appointed on important administrative posts, including those of registrar, controller of examinations and director research, on an acting or part-time basis instead of being given permanent appointments. The responsibilities of the posts are affected due to which both teaching and administrative affairs are affected.
