Chaos erupts as 2 groups clash in Sarai Alamgir’s court premises
LALAMUSA: The usually solemn grounds of the Session Court of Sarai Alamgir turned into a chaotic battleground on Tuesday as two rival factions clashed violently.
The altercation, which unfolded in the presence of heavy police deployment, sent shockwaves through the court premises and sparked widespread panic. Reportedly, tensions escalated rapidly when members of two groups (Khaliq Group and the Zaheer Group) appeared at the court for a scheduled hearing.
Eyewitnesses reported that a verbal confrontation quickly spiraled into physical violence. Despite the substantial police presence, the situation deteriorated, resulting in a frenzied scuffle that left bystanders and court officials scrambling for safety.
The police, caught off guard by the intensity of the clash, resorted to aerial firing in a bid to restore order. The sound of gunfire echoed through the court premises, momentarily halting the violence and dispersing the crowds.Officers moved swiftly to detain individuals from both factions, leading to the arrest of several key figures involved in the melee.
