GUJRANWALA: The Anti-Terrorism Court has granted interim bail to the opposition leader in the National Assembly, Umar Ayub, in the May 9 case. Umer Ayub appeared before the court for the hearing of a case registered against him for involvement in an attack on a police station in the Cantt area during the May 9 protest.
His lawyer Babar Awan argued before the court, and the judge granted interim bail to Umar Ayub until May 17, 2024. Strict security arrangements were made on the occasion in and around the court premises.
