Citizens urged to take precautionary measures before leaving for hometowns
Islamabad:Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari advised the Islooites to be cautious before leaving their homes for their ancestral hometowns to celebrate Eidul Fitr.
On Sunday, he conveyed a message to the people of Islamabad on social media, saying that the federal capital residents should lock their homes carefully before traveling to their hometowns.
In his video message, the DIG Operations Islamabad said that the Islamabad Capital Police is continuously engaged in ensuring the safety of residents' lives, property, and dignity. He further said that citizens leaving for the Eid holidays should leave their homes with appropriate security arrangements, ensure proper lighting inside and outside the house, lock the main gate from the inside, and install CCTV cameras around the house.
Ensures proper arrangements for the safe keeping of valuable items such as jewellery and cash, checks locks and doors before leaving the house, and informs the newspaper vendor not to throw newspapers at the house when leaving. He added that they should also refrain from activities that indicate their absence from home. At the end, he said that, before leaving citizens must inform the relevant police station, and lock all windows, doors, and open areas properly. Insha'Allah, we will make every effort to protect your lives and property, while utilizing all available resources, he concluded.
