Minister catches students using unfair means

LAHORE: Punjab School Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, along with Chairman BISE and other officials raided GHS MI Happy School National Town Sanda after reports of cheating surfaced in the ongoing Matric exams.

A spokesperson of the minister said that the team led by the minister caught some students cheating red-handed and even found some candidates swapping papers. The minister immediately took action, arresting fake candidates and involved staff. Over 300 students appeared in the exams at the centre. The minister warned against cheating and vowed strict measures against those involved. The center was sealed, and the minister instructed the BISE chairman for tighter supervision at exam centers.

Rana Sikandar meets ex-minister

Meanwhile, Punjab School Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat met former Provincial Minister and UMT President Ibrahim Hasan Murad here at UMT Johar Town Campus, with both making a resolve to take all out measures for the uplift of the education sector in Punjab.

According to a press release, the meeting focused on exploring innovative strategies for curriculum enhancement and comprehensive teacher training. Rana Sikandar Hayat underscored the significance of collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Education Punjab and UMT in substantial reforms within the school education curriculum.
