MULTAN: Deputy Commissioner Rizwan Qadir has said the Punjab government has vowed to make the province polio-free.
In this regard, a 3-day national polio campaign organized by the district administration will start from March 25. The detection of two polio cases in Balochistan is alarming, however, no polio positive case could be detected from Multan sewage samples.
He said this while chairing a meeting in connection with the anti-polio campaign here on Tuesday. CEO Health Dr Faisal Qaisrani and Health Department officials attended the meeting. More than 35 mobile teams will administer polio drops in the field while camps will be established at every hospital, dispensary, bus stand and railway station.
