‘Incorporate Islamic principles to achieve effective governance’
Federal caretaker religious affairs and interfaith harmony minister Aneeq Ahmed visited Jamia Abi Bakar Al Islamia Karachi on Sunday, according to the Press Information Department Karachi.
Visiting the Jamia as the chief guest, Ahmed delivered an insightful address on the profound teachings of Islam and Sunnah, underscoring the pivotal role of understanding Islam and Sunnah for the prosperity of a nation.
He encouraged the audience to actively engage with the Holy Quran, urging them to delve into its meaning and integrate its teachings into their daily lives.
He emphasised the correlation between good governance and the teachings of Islam, asserting that incorporating these principles is paramount for achieving effective governance. He urged the audience to learn from the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a model for prosperity.
Addressing the rulers of the Muslim Ummah, he called for prioritising the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and advocating for observing Namaz and Zakat. He said he firmly believes that adherence to these principles can effectively combat social evils and alleviate poverty.
In the end he was presented with a memento, a symbolic gesture of appreciation for his dedication to promoting Islamic values and inspiring the community towards unity and prosperity.
