PHC CJ visits courts in Mardan

MARDAN: Chief Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan of the Peshawar High Court paid a visit to the district courts and District Bar Room.

During his visit, Justice Muhammad Ibrahim Khan was received by senior officers of the district judiciary, including district & sessions judges, and the president and general secretary of district bar association, Mardan.

Also present were officials from the commissioner’s office, Mardan division, regional police officer (RPO), district police officer, deputy commissioner, superintendent engineer C&W, executive district health officer, Mardan, and other dignitaries.

A guard of honour was presented to the chief justice by a contingent of the district police, followed by the inauguration of the security control room at session courts and a dispensary. The chief justice commended the efforts of the bar, district health officer, and district judiciary for establishing these facilities crucial for the wellbeing of litigants, lawyers, staff, and judicial officers.

Moreover, the chief justice inaugurated the newly established ladies’ bar room, praising the increased participation of women in the justice sector and the facilities provided in the room.During the chief justice’s visit to the Bar Room, District and Sessions Judge Mohammad Zeb Khan presented a welcome address and highlighted the issues faced by the bar.

In his remarks, the chief justice appreciated the coordination between the bar and bench for organising such an event and thanked the members of the press, district administration, and police, particularly the commissioner and the RPO.
