PPP’s corruption to end on Feb 8, says Palijo
HYDERABAD: Nationalist leader Ayaz Latif Palijo’s rally for the general elections was attended by writers, poets and journalists among other members of the public on Monday.
Palijo, chief of the Qaumi Awami Tehreek and the Grand Democratic Alliance’s candidate for the provincial assembly constituency PS-60 Qasimabad, said that on February 8 the corruption of Jam Khan Shoro, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Zardari group would end because the people of Sindh, including Qasimabad, want change.
He claimed that in the 2013 and 2018 general elections the PPP and its leader Asif Zardari changed the results of the polls, but this time round rigging would not be allowed.
He said that on February 8 they would celebrate their success all over the province, and work for peace, justice, equality, education and health. Youth will be given education and employment, and by restoring agriculture, hunger and unemployment will be eliminated, he added.
Palijo said that on February 8 the prosperity of Sindh would be proved by merit, peace, justice, right and truth. He claimed that the PPP and the Zardari “gang” took over the Sindh government and drowned 20 million people in the 2022 floods. He said that the Qasimabad city had also been inundated in that disaster, adding that there has been no relief for the flood victims to date.
Literary intellectuals Advocate Shahab Osto and Inam Sheikh, journalists Imdad Soomro, Azhar Soomro and Kashif Siddiqui, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Maulana Azam Jhangiri and political workers participated in the rally.
