NHMP to introduce SMS service to ensure transparency
Islamabad: On the special directions of Inspector General National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) Salman Chaudhry, SMS service is being introduced to ensure transparency of enforcement and challan system on National Highways and Motorways w.e.f February 1, 2024, says a press release.
The commuters are informed that in case of any traffic violation, an auto-generated SMS will be received on the provided mobile number of violator. The method of payment is that after receiving the SMS the violator shall pay the fine amount. In case of any inconvenience reach National Highways and Motorway Police by dialling toll free Helpline number-130, WhatsApp number 0313-0111130 or social media handles @NHMPofficial.
