PPP opposes move to end increment

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Central Punjab Information Secretary Shehzad Saeed has demanded the finance ministry take back a suggestion about ending annual increment of the government employees.
In a statement issued here on Sunday, the PPP leader urged the Reforms Commission to protect the rights of the Pakistani citizens instead of following dictation of the international financial institutions.
Pakistan Peoples Party Central Punjab Information Secretary Shehzad Saeed said that the PPP would not allow anyone to snatch the rights of the poor government employees.
The Pakistan Peoples Party leader said the PPP had always protected the rights of workers and the poor salaried class.
