I am a new reader of Us magazine. I love many sections of Us, but my favourite is ‘Poets’ Corner’. I am also a budding poet. My poems have been published in my school’s magazine, and I would like to share my poems with Us readers. I mostly write about the beauty of nature and issues being faced by young people nowadays. How can I send my poems for publication? And are there any specific guidelines that I should follow?

In this week’s Us (26 April), I read Not all are bad, wicked and crooked by Sirajuddin Aziz. I am happy there are still some people in Pakistan who retain their optimism but the fact is that most of the people I come across are bad or crooked, if not outrightly wicked. My teachers give attention to those students who take private tuitions from them. The school administration is mercenary; they keep asking for money on different pretexts. The favourite students of teachers are never called out for short attendance although they often bunk classes. So excuse me if I beg to differ with the writer. Oh, one more thing: please re-start Us on Campus. I used to love students airing their grievances about their teachers and schools.

Dear Editor,
One of my favourite sections in Us is ‘The Green Room’. I love cinema and music, and I think Sameen Amer does a commendable job in the very short space given to her. I think Pakistani stars should be given space in ‘Star’ section of ‘The Green Room’. Also, I would like to read more stories in the mag.
